The Prince of Wales began his first tour of Brazil on Monday to stage his Earthshot Prize, while drama revolving around his uncle, Andrew Moundbatten Windsor, rumbles on at home. Prince William will be taking in some of Rio de Janeiro's attractions in the run-up to the Earthshot Prize ceremony on Wednesday evening.
On Monday, the heir, who was welcomed to the country on top of Sugarloaf Mountain, took in Rio's beaches, the world-famous statue of Christ the Redeemer and attended events to better understand the biodiversity of the city. Meanwhile, back home, William's father has requested that Andrew's final military title be removed, according to the defence secretary.
John Healey said the King had "indicated that's what he wishes" and that the Government is working to remove Andrew's rank as Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy. The disgraced royal was stripped of all his royal titles, honours and HRH style last week due to his links to convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
