Govardhan Puja 2025: Govardhan Puja is performed on the Pratipada Tithi of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the month of Kartik. According to the calendar, the Pratipada Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Kartik will begin on October 21st at 5:54 pm. It will end on October 22nd at 8:16 pm. According to the date, this year, Govardhan Puja will be celebrated on October 22nd.
Auspicious Time for Govardhan Puja 2025
This year, the auspicious time for Govardhan Puja is from 3:13 pm to 5:49 pm. This date will coincide with the Swati Nakshatra and Preeti. Significantly, the Sun, the king of planets, will be in Libra, where the Moon will also transit. Therefore, this time will be auspicious for worship.
Govardhan Puja Method
During Govardhan Puja, it is customary to worship Lord Krishna and Govardhan Mountain. Therefore, according to the auspicious time, first create a Govardhan idol in the courtyard using cow dung.

Place roli (red rice) and rice on it. Light a lamp near the idol for worship.
Now, place water, milk, and saffron along with kheer (kheer), puri (sweet rice), and sweets. Afterward, circumambulate Govardhan with everyone.
Finally, perform aarti (sacred ritual) and apologize for any mistakes made during the puja. It is believed that this brings positivity in life.
